My hands get a little sore from holding the large Missals at church, so I got this one, plus I don't like searching through the pockets at church to find one. I've been using the 2018 St. Joseph Missal and it works great. The readings match up to the ones read by the Lectors and I like having my own Missal that can fit easily into my handbag.
Ever go to Mass and you can't hear the readers or your mind starts to wander and before you know it the readings are over and you didn't get any of it? Once my husband and I started following along in our own Mass books, that all changed. Now we are focused, and if something made a particular impact on us, we can go back and re-read it!
Love this little missal, but I took one star away because the 2019 edition left out the Rite of Penance section. I always use those prayers after confession instead of the standard , and my priest calls it "beautiful". I am disappointed, but the rest of the missal is the same perfect aid as it has always been. I hope the 2020 version has it back in, though.
Just received my 2019 Missal. I order one every year since becoming Catholic. I took one star away because some things are missing from previous years. The Rite of Penance at the end of the missal, the Morning/Evening prayers in the Treasury of Prayers section, and the Pastoral Help section. Everything else seems to be the same, not sure why those were removed. Even so, I still like it and will continue to order.

I purchase one every year. Lovely to have my own copy of the missal to enjoy anywhere and have for Mass. Small and paperback but holds up well. Mine lives in the console of my car so I never forget it at home. Highly recommend to anyone.
So many good reviews I had to get one for myself and my son and at only $2 each! Easy to carry and adds so much to the Mass! All the readings besides the Mass and the Eucharistic prayers.....it has added so much meaning to the MASS and as other reviews have said, it is not a really large MASS book and I plan on getting one every year!
I adore this missal! I order one every year. It helps me navigate the liturgy and deepens my understanding of the readings and the service. I hope they always make this missal.
